My Mind Is In Decay

The words do not flow freely
They seem stuck within my head
And to bring them out really
I may need to go to bed

The words would come out fast
If my mind was set at ease
But if I’m feeling very gassed
Not everyone can please

I speak from places deep inside
About things that I have seen
Never will I run and hide
No matter where I’ve been

My mind is like a doodle
All thoughts in disarray
Just peek inside my noodle
I know what you will say

You’ll say that I am cracked
And not in my right mind
My mind seems over packed
Some things I cannot find

How to sort your thoughts
Is what I need to learn
I’ve taken many shots
Some of them can burn

Everything is jumbled
And mixed in every way
You know I have been humbled
With some I’ve had to say

Sorry for my musing
I don’t know what to say
I think my mind I’m losing
My mind is in decay

Nice write and so very true about my mind anyway. It has went beyond decay and has become rotten. Enjoyable piece, I applaud your imagination.

Hi John, love your poem! I write about the power of the mind, all my early poems are on this subject, I have a reply to this poem with my poem, ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND! Take a look, love Simone
