My Mind Into Flowers

i wish for the wind to sweep me up
to take control of my mind and collect my thoughts in a tornado of sadness
the wind will whip my face from side to side until i can see life for what it is

i want the rain to come and seep into me
to crowd every crevice of space on my skin and fill me up
maybe the rain will rush into my head and push my thoughts out
until they are nothing but a puddle on the ground,
so that when i am in the eye of the storm i can see what i have defeated, while keeping in mind what is yet to come

and maybe when the rain comes, a rainbow will cast
it will grow out of the dark cloud that used to hang above my head,
the one i finally put beside me

of course once the rainbow comes the sun will rise
the sun will encourage my head to open up like a new book with an old story,
then all at once buds holding flowers of every kind will begin to sprout from the mind that once contained stems that never quite formed a full rose.
and although the rain is inevitable, maybe it will help the flowers blossom into something beautiful.
