My Mind

My Mind
By Franklin Price

My mind is wandering scene to scene,
left to right, betwixt, between,
black and white, with colors too,
I've seen my thoughts in every hue.

Sometimes I think in only words
then pictures of the words appear,
presenting them quite visually,
the meaning in my mind to see.

Strange, you may say, the way you think;
a fleeting thought, here in a wink.
Must write it down, gone in a blink,
might not come back and that would stink.

The method usually poetry;
 have written thoughts in prose.
They're in my mind to be put down;
how they got in there, heaven knows.

You may have noticed, the rhyming changed,
from verse to verse, it's rearranged,
was not planned, not purposely
It's how my mind worked, this time, you see.
