My Memory

Whilst pondering my past, I cannot remember the first words I wrote

I must have used paper and pencil, too young for a pen

They were probably “Mama,”

or “Choo Choo,”

or “The Mottled Ginger Cat Sat On The Mat, Licking It’s Fur, Ready to Attack The Dog That was Sitting Far Too Close To The Cat’s Food Bowl.”

However, I do remember my first drawing, it was a castle with a moat

Inside was a man, perhaps Daniel, and a lion’s den

Outside. a llama

A King in Blue

And surrounding the castle were invading armies riding on elephants, the Emperor clothed in satin, and on his shoulder, an Owl.
