My Maria

My Maria, I feel you here with me
My Maria you were more than a friend yet I gain
A sister I know longer have here,

My Maria “oh” how I will miss you saying “Hermana”
I know you’re no longer in pain and with your mother

My Maria I’m sorry for having to set boundaries
My Maria I couldn’t watch you hurt
I had to protect me too
Now my Maria is gone in Heaven

You have shown me a real friendship and unconditional love at the same time

We clash and bump heads but no matter what
My Maria was there
My Maria cared
My Maria loved my children
My Maria I miss you so
My Maria I’m struggling with my thoughts

My Maria when I received the phone call
I couldn’t breathe
I didn’t want to live
My Maria I still can’t believe your gone!

My Maria I need you!
