My Mantle of Doubt

I wear this cloak, a mantel of doubt
Fashioned with invariable pain
Lost in the depths of perplexing thoughts
I exist in this crypt of nothingness!
Let me vanish beneath stormy seas!

Now I dwell deep within the house of cynicism
With no thought of tomorrows, for they're not promised
End this night of constant deliberation
Grant me bitter sweet liberty from approach
Just Let me expire in this deafening silence!

I think many of us endure the mantle of doubt Audrey, and I do hope many of us come through our storms >> James

Wow, excellent and deep poem, Audrey. Don't know how I missed this one earlier. I love the way you describe the "crypt of nothingness." I feel like I'm in that crypt sometimes too and expiring would be a relief. Great poem, my friend. Love, Carolyn

(2) For of doubt is illusionary imaginations, while faith produces reality's manifestations of our pure and innocent thoughts; of our source Love. Precept versus concepts, for concept logics are mere imitations of the one precept of Love source. "That is; doubt(devil) of the mind, lies to the faith of the sacred Heart. You did well! Smile!
