To write I need inspiration.
Dreaming of my magic muse.
Casting a spell of creation.
Telling me which words to use.
When waking from heavy sleep.
Dreamless, has my magic muse fled?
From muses' heaven to dungeons deep.
Of blank pages, less should be said.
During the next night, my muse I seek.
Dreaming of "Dungeons and Dragons" of old.
Dragon's breath, inflaming my cheek.
Daytime arrives, this tale can be told.
Writing in iambic pentameter quatrain.
Using an alternative line rhyming scheme.
Making poesy is no longer a pain.
Though my magic muse was only a dream.
