My Lover

Looking into your eyes
I see my life's blood
and I smile
effortlessly
my smile that extends from past joys
into tomorrows joys
neverending
unfailing
and so i wrap myself in the warmth of your gaze
as it travels over me
winding paths through my hair
down my shoulders
and then pours softly further
gradually raising my temperature
as this love that I feel
bubbles to the surface
of sheer abandonment.
