My lovely Kenya

I hear my country weep,
It asks for no more young blood,
Yet it aches for the youths who remain,
Scattered, silent, and waiting
Which way, ooh lovely Kenya?

We cry of bad leadership,
We cry unemployment,
We curse a faltering economy,
Yet we do nothing,
Which way, ooh lovely Kenya?

They say youths are tomorrow's leaders,
But must we wait until tomorrow to rise?
and let them loot all there is for tomorrow?
or which way, ooh lovely Kenya?

A learned generation,
Yet divided and still,
Can we not unite and rebuild?
Rise ooh Kenyan Youth and make a better tomorrow today.
Or which other way, ooh lovely Kenya.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
