My love went wrong

My love went wrong
As I sail amidst the song of the whales,
I realize I have been cold for a while.
February being relentlessly harsh,
The wintery days made me frail.
With a fragile silence, I pondered
My love went wrong in some way.

As I sail amidst the song of the whales,
I realise I have been cold for a while.
February being relentlessly harsh,
The wintery days made me frail.
With a fragile silence, I pondered
My love went wrong in some way.

A murmur at midnight, the clothing resting on the floor.
Thunder clapping, the sky a shadowy abode.
A ghostly gale visiting, an inkling at the door, I know it is going to be over when the rain stops to roar.
With a fragile silence, I pondered
The bed made my love soar.

A Sunday morning solace, a march reawakening.
With gilded gratitude, I walk through the daffodils.
The heart pounds and head dances through the way,
Ah! But that was not the right sway.
With a fragile silence, I pondered,
In the dreams, my love lost its way.

Returning to the sea, the moon casts its spell.
That 3 A.M liminal feeling of freeing the fugitive soul,
As I sail through the song of the whales,
I get up and realise I have been cold.
With a fragile silence, I pondered,
My love went wrong in some way.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

This is a vulnerable heart-felt poem, which sounds like a lyric. I enjoyed the repetition which gave poem a flavour. The images of sea, cold, silence with loss goes well together. I like the sense of self-responsibility that your poem has, Aarti. These lines are exquisite: “ Returning to the sea, the moon casts its spell. That 3 A.M liminal feeling of freeing the fugitive soul, As I sail through the song of the whales, I get up and realise I have been cold.”. With slight edits, this poem is a winner.
