My Love Lost

We were so happy We had so much fun We had passion for life and each other that would last forever. I never imagined it could happen I prayed it was not true I cried to stop it I fought to keep it alive As I watch it drive away; never to hold it, never to see it, never to feel its warm embrace. My world crashes, my heart breaks, and one last tear runs down my face. I turn away and fall to my knees and thank God for this chance to know what true love really was.
