My Love For You

You once asked me why I loved you so
Let me tell you dear
Here's what I know
Here's the truth inside my soul

You picked me up off the ground
When I was broke into a million pieces
You asked nothing of me in return
Your actions were so gracious

You took me in our of the storm
Gave me shelter
A dry place to lay my weary head

You made me believe within myself
I was worth more than gold
You've never asked for anything ever
Other than my faithful love

You make me laugh
You make me cry
You help keep my heart alive

Our life isn't always happy like in a photo book
It's the ones in between
The ones where we sometimes struggle
That gets us by day to day
Those are the ones I cherish most
It shows our love has endured

It gets stretched
It gets torn
It gets battered
It's look is worn
But at the end of my day
Your arms they are my home

They are my protection
Away from this cold world
You were sent from God in Heaven
To make my broken heart once again whole
