My Love

Do you wonder that my lips are tipped with gold My tongue of silver? Tis my beloved heart, enshrined, of blood jewels red Which speaks of the flesh whole head mannered, bread En Sapphires of peace and emeralds 'en pastures green Marks the hours my beloved's diamonds gleam He breathes forth a purely marvelous indelible sheen And dew drop jewels from his fingers are seen Most comely my heart be when it sees His beating ruby, blood- fast red FOR ME
