My Love

The sun on my horizon,
My everlasting light,
The needle of my compass,
My northern star at night,

The pillow where I lay my head,
The quilt that keeps me warm,
An umbrella for when it's raining
My shelter in the storm,

The angel on my shoulder,
Who guides me in the dark,
The arms that keep me safe,
The keeper of my heart,

The wind that lifts me up,
The wings that let me soar,
I find that each and every day,
I love you even more.

This is so lovely, Erica. Love should be such a comfort and a shelter as described in this beautiful poem. ~ love, Carrie

This is awesome. The rhyme and flow are perfect and the emotions is expressed like magic. It is truly enchanting! I love it... Adding it to my favorites. I actually wrote one quite some time ago that carries the same title. Smiles from Lolita

Your love's uplifting offerings shine in this great work, Erica. He is the pillow, the quilt, the umbrella -- your one true shelter. Beautiful! Love, Carolyn
