My Love

You did everything to pursue my love You promised that we were meant to be two You said we fit like a hand in a glove You said I would feel everything so true You promised you would hold me up above You said your love would always remain new You said all you give me would be enough You did everything to make me love you When all my love you carelessly spent And threw it back at me, you even dared! The endless retorts, you didn’t relent And tossed away, all that we ever shared My pain is real and that’s what you meant Showing me disdain like you never cared.
