My Lonely Walk Alone

My lonely walk alone
gives me time to
think about the hurt
which is nagging me.

It resurfaces to attack
now and then until
I decide to shake it
loose as I saunter off.

My mind takes in
the scene I pass
looking at children
playing in the city park.

They are laughing and
having fun in their world
of play in which I wish
I was part of again.

Hi Sonia. I don't throw out a lot of 7s, but you're getting one here. You simply and beautifully describe a profound thing. Cheers, Doug.
