My Little Prayer
Blessed are the day
For they make us gay
Blessed is my every way
This I say
even every time I pray
Blessed will I be in the day
For me every good thing has come to stay
To every disaster, this I say nay
Lord, grant me more mercy each day
To you I have nothing to pay
And today as ever, let the sun shine its ray
So it can lighten up my way
Lead me never to go astray
When I'm sober and when I play.
