My Lifes Greatest Performance

My Life’s Greatest Performance


I’ll first thank, praise and glorify our God
For many good performances I had in my life
From doing my best at schools when I was a student
To one of their representatives in many big events
Making my family and community happy for my diligence.

If I’m going to think of my life’s greatest performance
I’ll choose from the list of my teaching achievements
Not to pick my loyalty awards or prize for efficiency
But my satisfaction for sharing my passion joyfully
To enrich my  students’ skills, knowledge and creativity.

I love sharing arts and my poetry in teaching
Apart from my academic subject or line of expertise
At school programs and extra-curricular activities
My pupils recite aloud and interpret my written piece
Developing their confidence, standing in front with ease. 

I could never forget the time when I wrote a poem
In our national language for student’s in-campus competition
I trained my pupil with her creative interpretation
Portraying three people while wearing chopped costumes
Successful delivery! At inter-schools, she also won.

Group of students also performed choral spoken poetry in synchrony
I was so glad when they went up the stage to receive their trophy 
I also coached drawing, handcrafts and poster-making contest 
And on summer time, I held my own art workshops for the rest
My greatest performance was my students’ win or success.

Note: Group choral poetry was about nutrition and for the solo one was about a neglected/abandoned child written both in our national language.
