You know how much lick me get fi thief
And you a come tell mi say, “My life de sweet!”
My life de sweet?
You know how much time me and my friends sit down pan de cornna a watch the
car dem a go Zit zap, zit zap up and down pan the street
And a say, “Da one day a my own, da one da a my own”
And we don’t even sit down pan de the seat
And you a come tell me say, “My life de sweet!”
My life de sweet?
De place where me live me can’t sleep
(Dog bark - gun shot sound)
Down to dog dem all a sweep
And you a come tell me say, “My life de sweet!”
My life de sweet?
You know how much a my friends dead from the street
We couldn’t write so good/well nor read
Nobody wants to employ us because of where we sleep
So dem go “o’cle” to satisfied dem needs
And they still rub them! Don’t even give dem six foot deep
And you a come tell me say, “My life de sweet!”

Such memories haunt me entire body from me head, down to me feet
And you a tell mi say, “My life de sweet!”
My lifer de sweet (repeat 3 times)
After me go down pan me knees and ball to god to help me get me life neat.
You a come tell me say, “My life de sweet!”
