My Life As a Poet

When there is no one to love you
You must love thyself

Poetry is meditation when emotions emerge
And no one seems to care

The world is different now
Values are buried deep within us

The challenge is to make people see
There is a beautiful life waiting ahead

Take a leap every chance you get
Just wear a parachute

Someone or something will catch you
Or, your landing will be less painful

Use your time wisely
Always put a smile in someone's day

Talk to people when you can
There may come a time of regret

Hence, more poetry
