My Life a Perfect Storm
My Life A Perfect Storm
Oh, light of day; help me as I walk through your voiceless voids...
Oh, tender night; may the thoughts of you keep me warm...
Each step I take is a reminder of my past; a hellish hue lies ahead
Forgive me if I pass you by, and not utter a word, for I have lost
my will to speak...
The wind the moon and stars are my families now, for I look up to them
Forgive me; for I have little food to share, I eat with the birds...
My heart is empty now, but no worries I can still breathe,
that will keep us warm for the night...
I’ve lost my leg, but I manage, forgive me if I fall behind...
You can borrow my coat, hat, and glove for when it really gets cold,
My soul is starving now, but not for food or warmth...I don’t know...
Wait! wait! I’ve falling behind, let me catch up...
Perhaps, just maybe, I’ve lost my will to...to...live...
Now I know! my soul is bare...
No more hunger, no more cold, no more pain, no more sleepless storms...
God, forgive me as I pass you by...
