My Life

My life is speeding by
Swifter than a sailing ship
Like an eagle swooping down
Burning out
Like candle stick
Fading out like fashion
Here today
Gone tomorrow

My life is speeding by
Swifter than an ostrich on the run
Passing away
Like time
Like clouds in empty space
My heart bleeds each day
The thought of the morrow
Takes the better of me
Will tomorrow ever
Be mine to see?
Will i survive the night?
I hope life will be mine tomorrow
Will death take my breath
As i lie to sleep
Tonight?
What e'er happens tonight
God knows best
He holds my life
