My Life
pink, orange and red call my name
I devour my toast fast
heading to my studio is the best feeling
two dogs chase me out there
they are my newest babies now
my children are gone
living in three different states
two of my grandchildren are at Hotel California
I sing the song of the seventies,
feeling young
if I was driving I would be at a hundred
all seventies songs do this to me
my husband asks “who is their adult supervision?”
I remind him we were married at nineteen.
