My Legacy

I cannot give you warmth my little one
Cannot give you comfort
I cannot give you safety
Cannot give you stability
I cannot give you freedom from desire
Cannot give you a life without pain
I cannot give you love, my darling
Cannot give you a life worth living
All I can give you, my love, is my voice
My poems, my lyrics, my songs
All I can give you is music, my dear
Let my music be your salvation.
