My Last Goodbye

My Last Goodbye

A small padded room
Lined with thick black cloth
No windows and no doors
The cell is too small to stand or lay
I am positioned like a twisted statue
My body chained to the wall
Arms tied behind my painful body
Chains cut into my skin
My blood flows across the floor
Down a single drain and it is gone forever
No one can save me
No one even knows that I am here
Years after I am gone someone will find me
My thoughts cut into the walls
Written in my blood
My last goodbye

Magnificently written poem Rob, really brilliant! What is probably needed is a sledge hammer to break into the padded room and tear down the chains that bind and let the sunshine in! X Lizzie
