My Last Breath Comes Soon

Soon my last breath will come
And finally my tattered old soul will find peace
After so many pain filled years, showered with tears
With so many scatterings of broken hearts and
Lost dreams, swept up like litter in the wind
My soul bleeds as pieces of it are ripped out
Year after year, now a Grey hair ghost of a man I am
Looking out across the landscape of my life
With eyes huanted, teary and weary of life.
What more can my heart and soul endure
Is there even enough remaining of me to move on
Past whatever purgatory might await for me
So my soul can finally find its soulful way back home
Within the eternal spiritual flame of the universe
What sad fate awaits my tattered old soul
Soon my last breath will come
And I'll have to face whatever sad fate awaits
