My Kite
Cut out the perfect piece of plastic,
You'll catch the wind all right.
Splash distinct colors,
You'll look pretty up high,
Everyone can admire you from afar.
Shove some rods in little pre-made slots,
Keep you in place.
Pre-cut the string,
Stay within the boundaries.
Tape on a few streamers (a taste of anarchy).
Run to get you started,
Slowly release the string,
Now you rise with other forces,
Until a tug on the taught string,
Stay put, know your boundaries.
Strays gather into a crowd,
Astounding grace and beauty,
Another pull of a string,
Dance, do a trick, dazzle them.
Another pull,
Stay in your boundaries,
I control you,
I created you,
Everyone can see,
Just stay in your boundaries.
