My Kind of Day

early morning smiles as we lay there laughing about what to do
breakfast in bed as time alone with you was long over due
this is my kind of day you and I and nothing to do,
a friendly shower as we remember way back when and how far we've come
no hurry no need to rush as we take our time as if this has just begun
this is my kind of day listening to you laugh and having some fun
looking amazing as you often do no where to go just wanting this time with you
a movie or some music to steel a kiss in the kitchen a little before noon
this is my kind of day holding you in my arms lost in your eyes of blue
snuggling as we enjoy all that we have as night came way to fast
a thankful kiss for I know I have you all to my self at last
this is my kind of day you and I doing us...it's all I ask .

17 years of marrage 23 years with you
this is my kind of life
                      P.S. I love you.

This would be "my kind of day" too, Michael. A wonderful dedication and congratulations on having so many years of happiness with your wife. Love, Carolyn

That is as old as the day is blue, I just added it because I thought it was amusing, although I am single, I'm not looking for any one, I should have said that...lol
