My Kind of Day

It is a stand outside and shout “whee” kind of day The sun is brightly shining, the squirrels out to play, The smell of freshly mown grass plays with the breeze I can measure the happiness by the leaves in the trees. The birds are twittering and excitedly flying about, They don’t seem to care I yelled an ear-splitting shout, My gossipy neighbor has nothing nefarious to chide So, all in all, it is an “up, up and away” day outside.

Milt, this poem is like a happy pinwheel spinning with delight! I really like that nothing, not even your neighbor, is going to steal your "whee" joy. Dolly Parton once said: "Don't let nobody steal your joy." Wonderfully expressed! Congrats and high fives for your win!

No disappointment in this line "My gossipy neighbor has nothing nefarious to chide" Smile. Snicker. Smirk.

This feels so fun and delightful, really like the line on measuring happiness by the leaves, and the 'gossipy neighbor' was an amusing surprise too!
