My Italian Family
If it had been up to me I'd have chosen an Italian family.
I crave their warmth and affection, no snide judgment and rejection,
an Italian family.
We'd live by the sea. Aunts and Uncles, Grandmas too, lots of hands
to cook for you, an Italian family.
The women are beautiful as can be, their skin gets dark so naturally,
an Italian family.
Aunt Leona, Uncle Lou, so much family there for you, an Italian family.
We'd be Catholic no doubt, open hearted and devout, an Italian family.
Some times emotions might flare but our love would permeate the air,
an Italian family.
It's rather late now for me and this is just a fantasy, my Italian family.
