My Inspiration For Poetry

Sometimes it’s a word
Or maybe a phrase
I never know where or when

The words start to form
They march through my head
I run to find paper and pen

My life is my muse
Each morning, each day
Lessons there to remind me

An untold story
Some silly event
A poem just seems to find me

People and places
Comments and faces
At work, at play or home

Some nurturing
Till it’s ready to bloom
I love giving birth to a poem

You captured the essence of our muse in a wonderfully poetic way Kitty. I feel the the same way especially your last stanza. Well done and enjoyed!
