My Inner Voice

My Inner Voice

I hear a little whisper,
Soft within my mind
I turn to look, but no ones there
I’m sure it comes from the beyond
When I find that I’m confused
And don’t know where to turn
It sends me little signals
On which choices to discern

It’s up to me to follow
Or dismiss what it conveys
But when I choose to ignore it
I regret it then for days
I’m certain that my inner voice
Which comes from God above
Is an angel on my shoulder
Guiding me with love

This angel is your conscience
Whispering in your ear
If you listen to it closely
You’ll feel that God is near.
