My Inner Child

My inner child I oftentimes let show.
“She” likes me using spontaneity.
When my inhibitions I let go,
a litte bit audacious I can be.

In ESL, I act out words with ease.
My inner child I oftentimes let show.
In front of students, on my hands and knees
I’ve demonstrated push-ups from high to low!

At sixty-six on water slides I’ll go.
My grandkids were surprised when I did zip line.
My inner child I oftentimes let show.
The rides at carnivals I fine divine!

Giggling or guffawing, I love to laugh.
Short skirts I'll wear, and long my hair does grow.
I don’t even mind if I make a gaffe.
My inner child I oftentimes let show.

Sixty six is the new forty nowadays, keep going gal, I love letting my kid loose now and then, push ups are getting hard on the elbows though :) Take care Richard.

Love this! Who would have thought I would zipline too! Scary but I did it three times in different venues: Antigua (my first), private island near Haiti (zipped over the ocean, and one other over the canopy perhaps Belize or Roatán.

From the little time I got to know of YOU, I got to know of your inner child too...because "She" pops up often and says "hello" to me...even from those mails of yours that I read... and I do love "Her"... as she is so ADORABLE. Enjoyed reading and am sure this will place high. A very happy birthday to you sweet friend... Hugs.. ~ Ani

Sadly, Tom, as much as I still love rides, they now do a number on me. I get very queasy after going on one or two. I really hate what age does to us!

Andrea, 'In front of students, on my hands and knees ~~ I’ve demonstrated push-ups from high to low!' You're such a character, I love your poem 'My Inner Child'. Chantelle, with her witty & wonderful contests.., keeps pulling me in. And you know when it comes to poems and skirts people tend to love 'em when there short. Not me though, I like 'em epic! Happy Saturday wishes for you this Labor Day week-end Andrea. -Richard

This is a marvelous picture of everything I expected Andrea Dietrich to be. Simply lovely. Good writing, as always. I expect to see this at or near the top of Chantelle's list!
