Actually, my inner child has never left me. I am glad of it because our inner child often sparks the joy in our lives. My dreams did return and they are always good ones, now. Glad you enjoyed the poem.

I have had years and years of non-dreaming, but I wonder if my dreams are so magnificent they are too wonderful to remember?

That would not be so good if you write poetry based on your dreams like I do...my dreams have always been a catalyst for my creativity. Too wonderful to remember? What a loss...I'd want to remember the most wonderful ones.
