My House

The smell of oven baking cake A comfy chair to take a break My parents round for tea The comfort of these tall strong walls The noisy wail of childrens calls No place I'd rather be Honourable Mention in 'home'

I love the smell of that cake as well. I also enjoyed the realism of what a real family sounds like day to day. Congratulations on your win in the contest!

It sounds like a wonderful place to live, Nick! When will the cake be ready? I'd ask you to save a slice for me but I'm trying to lose the "holiday pounds." Delightful poem! Love, Carolyn
