My Home's Eternity

My birth was merely the setting
for greater things to come,
And death is but the forgetting
of all my earthly sum.
I was just a visitor here
that cometh from afar;
My home is a home not of sphere
nor that of yonder star.
Tis a far better home I've found,
a home of God's decree;
A home to which I'm ever bound,
my home's eternity.
