My Home Town

Hold on, hold on...
can't shut me down.
Gotta get back,
to my home town.

Got my ticket,
paid my reservation.
Been gone too long...
in these old shoes.

Too many miles
singin' those blues...
Gotta get back,
where I belong..

Can't shut me down
from my home town.
I paid my dues...
far too long.

Been down that road,
that railroad track.
Been gone too long...
so take me back where I belong.

Got people to see
to set me free...
reminding me
of who I am.

Hold on, hold on...
been gone too long.
Gotta get back
to my home town.
