My Home

My emotions have been stretched and dangle now. My mind skates on thin ice. My true self is hidden in the darkened shadows from within. Only few understand. What it’s like living in this land. Some days you can move a mountain and everything looks in reach. Your true self shines through and the knowledge within your soul makes an appearance again. You can talk to people and withstand a crowd But Like a flip of the switch You’re as dark and lonely as can be. Sometimes it last a few days other times it is a longer stay. You fear the little things in life, And hold little regard for your actions and the consequences that follow. Loose interest in all that matters. and eventually it’s too hard to concentrate or piece together a simple phase. Trying to remember even the slightest things seems to be an impossible feat. So do you think you could withstand this land? Where everything isn’t so grand! And every day is a battle in its own Because I call it home.

We all have layers of sadness and joy. Try to keep the 2nd on more then the first. Easier said then done I know and live it. Be strong my poet friend as I know you are. Luv Michael.
