My Hero's Song
In my eyes
you have always been
my true hero
always there for me
no matter where or why
without question
seeking no answer
you are the loyalty instinctive to me
In my life
you have always challenged
the mentor of my truths
teaching me to stand tall
against the wind…sometimes alone
and to believe in myself
to never surrender…to always try again
you are the strength within me
In my world
your gentleness touches me
and protects from all of harm’s way
with the sweetness of a butterfly kiss
teaching me to implicitly know
true love is unconditional
asking nothing in return
you are the truth about me
In my soul
you are the gift of a thousand rainbows
my best friend unto infinity
someone who truly watches over me
please know…that I forever know
I am the true reflection of you
in this we will always be
two as one…one as two
I am truly the very best of you
