My Hero

MY HERO In today's society heroes abound If one but takes the time to see Heroes are truly all around To provide aid to you or me Firefighters, EMTs, and law enforcement Medical staff in the emergency room Giving words of encouragement In situations filled with gloom There's also the heroic military force Who daily look death in the eye They are America's freedom source And many of them will die But there is only one I know Who made that ultimate sacrifice When to the cross, He chose to go His Name is Jesus Christ His death on the cross was not in vain It assured us of eternal life Because He rose to live again And save us from our strife No other person, dead or alive Can save the world from sin So I encourage you to swallow your pride And let the Savior come in Into your heart where only He Can bring you His salvation A Hero is what He wants to be To the world's entire population 19 November 2017 For contest sponsored by Silent One
