My Heart Said Yes

There you were! One day, there you were
In front of me, looking brand new,
No longer the friend that I grew
To trust; A new feeling would stir.
That day, this new feeling would spur
me to take a different view,
Seeing a different friend who
Had a place that was now a blur.
Now, in my heart, you had a place
Created just for you for good.
For good reasons, you gained this space
Over time, no question of could
I have been falling face to face,
But a question of if I should.
