My Heart On a String.

My heart is waiting for the day,
when you choose her over me.

It knows it's going to fall,

                                     crash,

                                               break,

                                                          and

                                                                 shatter.

Even on this soft carpet floor.

I would like to welcome you to PoetrySoup Travisti. If you would like to have more of your poetry read please limit your postings to 3-5 poems per day. In doing this more of your poetry is read and other poets can also have theirs read. Wishing you the best in your writing endeavors. If you have questions please feel free to ask anyone here. We are all willing to help and if we don't know the answer we will find someone who does. Love, Carol

Sometimes we can be our own worst enemies when we have such anxiety, Travisti. Don't let this be a self-fulfilling prophecy. Talk about your concerns to the one you love. It may provide you some peace. My heart goes out to you. Your poem is genuinely moving. Best wishes, Carolyn
