My Heart Finds a Way
My legs make me run
Down the sun dappled trail,
Chasing my dreams
With every long stride.
My heart’s pumping fast
As I catch my breath
And enter my zone.
My pace will keep me
Running effortlessly
Through the woods, across creeks
And up steep inclines.
I empty my mind of all my troubles.
I see with my eyes
The beauty of nature,
The peaks and the valleys.
I hear with my ears
The leaves softly whispering
And the cheerful melodies
Of the woodland birds.
I feel my breath
Blowing in and out
As my lungs are filled
With the fragrant clean air.
I am at peace
In this beautiful moment.
My dreams become real
As my heart finds a way.
