My Heart Beats In Your Chest

My Heart Beats In Your Chest

It’s like every beat of my heart is calling out your name
And pumping you through my veins

It burns so bittersweet in the arms of another

Stealing away, to steal you away from your thief
It pains me to say, my pain turns away a new leaf
These fresh flowers bear rotten fruit from the soil still bearing your name
And I’m staring in shame
At the things I’ve allowed to grow
My love
You don’t know. You don’t know…
