My Heart
You make me feel alive
When dying seems my only option.
You open my eyes, my heart
To a happiness I’ve never known,
Could never know until I found you.
How is it possible to love more
Than I love right now? When
I’m in your arms, surrounded by
Your kisses? Nothing is wrong
When it feels this right:
Makes this much sense for my heart to
Belong to you. I never thought
What was shattered could be made
Whole again, without patches and scars,
But you make me forget
Every heartbreak, every tear,
Everything that shook my soul.
There’s no regret in loving you,
When my broken heart is finally whole
Because you taught me how to
Smile instead of cry, laugh instead of
Wanting to die. You taught me what
It means to be alive.
