My Heart

Can't sleep keep tossing and turning
Always thinking I'm living and learning
  I just can't figure out
  What is it about
My heart it won't stop yearning

You won it on merit, my dear. Congratulations. In my opinion, all you need to do is tighten things up, like spelling and punctuation. If that's all that's holding you back, then snap to it. You have some nice original thoughts. I wish I had some of them. As George S. Kaufman once said: "Writing is rewriting." Go over it again and again, then let it drain off. Then, (not every time) , you'll have something really worthwhile. You'll know. Some of the best things NEVER won anything- i.e. Oscars.

Very heartfelt write, Faleshia. Your limerick was one of the best I read for the contest. And there were some awesome entries, so feel proud! Love, Carolyn

How about church, Faleshia? Maybe your heart is yearning for peace. God be with you through your quest. Life is a lesson. Good guidance makes the trip a little smoother and less painful. Enjoy, learn, and live with a plan. Sweet dreams, my poet friend. Smiles, Dane Ann
