My Heart
Satan has torn at my heart ---
Leaving lascerations deep and wide ---
At first the pain was intense ---
It has been lessened with times passing ---
Not quite absent of anquish ---
Just enough to remind me it's there ---
So my heart continues to beat ---
Only because God allows it to.
