My Heart
You’re like a ray of sunshine
burning through the clouds above,
brightening the dark haven
I’ve secluded myself in.
You asked me to reach up
and I grasped
your eloquent hand firmly
as you brought me to your level.
I showed you
the darkness
that flows from my fingertips
and you found it beautiful.
I was enraged,
nearly foaming at the mouth
and you took your creativeness,
splashed it with emotion,
to totally erase
the rabidness
that had my teeth gnashing.
Souls like yours,
I thought to be only in fairytales
but there you are
laying on my shoulder,
left hand on my chest
near my heart,
as I feel yours beat
against the side of my ribs.
