My Heart

Though nightmares often haunt my sleep,
and trouble me until I weep,
Theres other times I think of you,
where sun is bright and skies are blue
You fill my heart and soul with peace
and wash away my pain and grief
Connected and forever bound,
a truer friend was never found
You're always there when life gets rough
and I could never do enough
to show you what you mean to me
But even so I hope you see
there's nothing I would fail to do
or sacrifice to carry you
Through all those times you need a friend
I'll lift you up and hold your hand
If you need help I'll stand and fight,
I'll fight for you with all my might
I'll make your burdens mine to bear
and bear with love because I care
