My Healing Heart

POEM " MY HEALING HEART " by martin gedge

If I took of all the things you do and what you've said to me
I could write a book of pain and hurt and call it misery
there hasn't been a day of rest or hope of what might be
I feel I'm lost from shore to ship to sail the rocky sea
you never ever took the chance to ask me what I think
you were never there to show you care but always in the drink
I wonder where it's going now right down the kitchen sink
it's time to heal this broken seal when love is on the brink
I said I wanted more in life then just another start
someone that will love me back and hold on to my heart
I'm sick of all your foolish games when I'm standing in the dark
I'm not your puppet on a string nor will I play the part
You said that you just needed time to get your head in check
but times gone by you haven't changed now what should I expect
I'm tired of every bad excuse and you show me no respect
It's gonna take a lot tears to get over neglect
I never thought it end this way but you put it on the line
my heart is dead and so instead to save my piece of mind
it's very clear that I endear to see the warning sign
from ones like you that always do the same things every time....
